Join FUSION:Bangor for our second annual Dodge for a Cause charity dodgeball tournament on Saturday, April 28th at Fields4Kids in Bangor! This one-day dodgeball tournament will give fine-tuned athletes and armchair quarterbacks alike an opportunity to come together to have fun and raise money for some worthy organizations committed to helping our kids.
This year, our community partners for this event are the Good Samaritan Agency along with Families and Children Together. We will be doing a diapers and wipes drive at the event and taking cash donations to benefit these two amazing organizations.
The 16 team dodgeball tournament will be run as double elimination and is a first come first serve event. Max team size is 15 people. Each team must have a minimum of two females per team. Two females must play in each round. Team t-shirts will be provided.
Lunch will be provided by Angelo's and cash bar by Happy Endings.
Cost to register a team: $10 per person with a minimum of $100 per team

The BRCC Annual Awards Dinner is the Chamber's premier event, uniting the business community for a lavish ceremony that includes dinner, guest speakers, and presentations. Recognition is given to area leaders who have made a significant impact on the Bangor region, the most prestigious of which is the Norbert X. Dowd Award.
We are pleased to announce that Andrew Geaghan, Owner & Head Brewer, Geaghan Bros. Brewing Co. will be our keynote speaker for this event.
Andrew Geaghan, is the third generation owner of Bangor’s iconic Geaghan’s Pub. Andrew, rejoined the family business in early 2010, after careers in both teaching high school science locally, and finishing his Masters Degree in Theology and Ministry Studies from Bangor Theological Seminary. Along with his father and uncles, the idea to build a brewery in connection to the pub was born. In December 2011, Geaghan Bros. Brewing Co. sold its first pints and in January of 2016 the company started distributing state wide. When he is not working, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife Lindsay and their two young children, he is still a part-time pastor at Milford Congregational Church.
We will also be honoring our Volunteer of the Year, Kathleen Shane. Kathleen is the rental manager at Downeast Toyota in Brewer.
Kathleen Shane is the rental manager at Downeast Toyota. She started the rental department in July of 2004. She has been recognized by Toyota in both the regional level and the national level for the past 12 years.
Kathleen really enjoys her time volunteering at the Chamber; she is on the membership committee and loves to volunteer at the Chamber golf tournament. She is a 2016 graduate of BRLI and is now serving on the curriculum committee. Kathleen has found success in the rental business by networking at the different events the chamber has to offer such as the business afterhours that is held every month. Kathleen is married to Craig Shane and they live in Dedham with her 2 sons Keith and Sean Adams.

Newcomers Night is a gathering in an intimate setting that offers a warm welcome to newcomers of FUSION:Bangor and/or the Bangor area. Attendees learn more about FUSION, how to get involved in the community, and are able to network with other FUSION members. You'll meet others who are new to FUSION or the area as well as Steering Committee and Sub-Committee members who will help connect you with people who have similar interests.

As it is the holiday season, the staff and volunteers at Saint Andre Home and Hope Rising are putting together holiday stockings for the survivors and are asking for our help! FUSION:Bangor, University of Maine Athletics, and Maine Football Alfond Ambassadors invite you to tailgate with us on Saturday, October 28th as our University of Maine Black Bears take on William and Mary in a tough Colonial Athletic Association football matchup! Tailgating starts at 10:00am with kickoff at 12:00pm.
There will be a ton of food and drinks (by donation - thanks!), games, and more at this family friendly tailgate featuring performances by the UMaine Marching Band and Dance Team, and your chance to take a selfie with Bananas the Bear.
Look for the Maine Football Ambassadors tailgate tent located in LOT B (Leadbetter’s Lot) in front of the UMaine Fieldhouse and to the right of the Alfond Stadium scoreboard.

The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter is a dry shelter whose mission is to support and strengthen the community by providing emergency shelter and supportive services to people who are homeless or at risk and to advocate for collaborative, locally driven solutions to end homelessness.

Join FUSION:Bangor as we host the first ever Magnetize Maine Summit to be held at the Bangor Hilton Garden Inn on March 31st, and generate new ways to attract and retain a younger population in Maine.
Attendees will engage with multiple panels of talented and influential movers and shakers from across the business, academic, and nonprofit sectors in Maine. With the support of our partners, the Maine Development Foundation, the Realize Maine Network, Live and Work in Maine, and Maine Accelerates Growth, the ideas generated from the Summit will be summarized in a comprehensive report and made available to the public.

Maybe you’ve never even considered board service but you’re curious about how they function. No matter your background, we hope you will join us!
