Ever thought about joining a local board of directors but you’re not quite sure where to start, what’s involved, how to join or what to expect?

Join us for for lunch next Tuesday at 12:30 pm at the Brewer Community Center, 10 Cutler Place, as FUSION:Bangor’s panel of experts will share the ins and outs of serving on a board of directors.

At this Feed Your Brain session, you will learn the basics about joining a board:

·         Finding a board that meets your expectations – and the organizations.

·         Managing your responsibilities

·         Building relationships and leveraging networks

·         Making the most of your service – navigating the boardroom and beyond.

Maybe you already serve on a board and have a lot to contribute to this conversation. Or maybe you’ve hesitated joining a board because you’ve got questions you’d like answered. Maybe you’ve never even considered board service but you’re curious about how they function. No matter your background, we hope you will join us!
